Wood-Carved Murals

His wood-carved commissions have been created for I.B.M., I.T.T., Wallace Labs., Pellon Corp., and numerios private collections. Marjorie E. Belvin comments in her book, Design Through Discovery, "Kaplan is among the most imaginative of contemporary artists working in wood."

These works moved Stan's practice off the flat surface and into physical space — large-scale commissions, constructions, intimate carved objects. The archive is growing. Descriptions coming soon.
