SEA VIEW

To be where the sky meets the water/horizon

and sense infinity,

while the waves bounce and stretch up the shore

and wind blows clouds and sails above

the quiet world of sea life.

This is where fiery battles took place.

Where explorers searched for new worlds.

And gold and slaves flowed with the trade winds.

Today it's the air ship that flies

against the wind and over the currents

with cargo and personnel and fire power.

Sunday by the bay

with outboard and sail.

Swimming by the beach and

seven-day cruise down the coast.

To be where the sky meets the water/horizon

and dream to be free as a bird,

on the island in the sun.
